CE Marking Headaches

What makes Tubecon different?

The standard that covers the CE Marking of structural steelwork – BS EN 1090-01, will shortly become mandatory in the UK, for all manufacturers involved in supplying components for construction projects.

Specialising in the design, fabrication and erection of architecturally exposed structural steelwork, we were one of the very first fabricators to achieve CE Marking accreditation. Indeed we are certified to the highest level possible – Execution Class 4, for special structures.

The deadline for the mandatory CE Marking of fabricated structural steelwork is the 1st July 2014. After this date it will be illegal to trade fabricated structural steelwork and related products in the European market.

A spokesperson for Tubecon said “CE Marking certification demonstrates our commitment to quality, compliance and our Clients.  All of our structural steel components are processed in accordance with the requirements of BS EN 1090-01. Tubecon places great significance on our early achievement of this standard which sets us apart from the rest, taking away any headaches and reassuring our valued Clients.”
