Tubecon, a division of Billington Structures, one of the UK’s largest structural steelwork fabricators, enters the bridge market after acquiring the specialist skills and knowledge with its newly recruited team.
Mark Smith, Chief Executive Officer of Billington announced that the company has secured the employment of 12 employees from the bridge and architectural steelwork specialist, SH Structures, which entered into administration in April.
Mark Smith commented that Billington Structures would use the acquisition of the North Yorkshire firm’s specialist skills to diversify its existing Tubecon business into the specialist bridge and complex steel structures market.
Commenting on the recent acquisition, he said, “This expansion marks an exciting chapter in our journey and reflects our commitment to innovation, growth and excellence as part of our comprehensive offering to our clients.”
Among those moving from SH Structures to Tubecon is David Perry, who is looking forward to the new opportunity and leading the Tubecon team: “It’s great that a number of the SH Structures employees have been given this opportunity to bring their skills and knowledge to Tubecon to drive the growth and expansion of the company in this specialist area.”
