The Tubecon team are proud to be involved in the design, fabrication and erection of a complex tubular steelwork roof frame for a feature sky-garden, crowning the landmark Bevis Marks’ building in central London.
Highlighted in New Steel Construction, the Tata Steel, Steel Construction Institute and British Constructional Steelwork Association publication, the Bevis Marks’ building demonstrates the superior properties of steel, as the new 16 storey structure has been placed on the foundations of an old eight storey building. It has been stated that the spectacular sky-garden on the 16th floor will provide one of the most exciting additions to the skyline in the City’s tower cluster, alongside the Gherkin and Heron Tower.
This architecturally exposed and innovative structural steelwork roof frame is to be covered with ETFE and in due course there will be further details and photos of this prestigious architectural design.
Aiming for a BREEAM excellent rating, Bevis Marks’ is one of the most complex projects to be undertaken by Tubecon and is due to be completed by the end of this year.
